Design Process

Worked alongside director to determine a feasible set design within the constraints of budget, time, and working on a dance floor while aesthetically fulfilling the needs of a space on which actors could do shadow work, and represent many different locations. Much of the set was borrowed, then I painted it, and then put on stage and reinforced by Mike. Collaborated with the director to create modern meets old world costume looks; specifically shorter, modern greek-inspired dresses for the chorus girls, that would inspire the rest of the show. After sourcing from stock, fitting and altering costumes on the cast, much of it was painted and dyed to maintain an overall palette. Worked with Curtis Smith to create affordable worbla and craft foam armour and props, for more info visit Little Lion Workshop.
